St. Vincent's is hosting a Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 19th at the Warrenton Golf Course. It is a 1:00 pm shotgun start. The cost is $75 per person, with a three person scramble (includes mens, ladies, and mixed teams). Includes 18 holes of golf with cart, meal and refreshments. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in flights. Marthasville will be having their city wide yard sale on May 19th, 2012. Sale begins at 7am. Hi Neighbors: Want to get rid of some things cluttering your closets, basements and garages? Come on and participate in a yard sale with your friends and neighbors of Marthasville. The Chamber of Commerce will advertise in the newspapers and put up signs. Please feel free to put up your own signs, but be sure to take them down when you’re sale is over. We are sending flyers out now so it will give us all time to get our items together. Have fun! Garage Sales are a great way to meet neighbors and better yet, it’s a great way to get rid of the junk. And, as if you didn’t know, your junk will inevitably end up as someone else’s treasure. The City Park Pavilion and Rusche Park will be reserved for those that live outside the city limits.

Friends of Emmaus is celebrating 40 years as an organization with their 1st Annual Spring Festival on Sunday, May 20th from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. The event this year will feature an “Ole Time Country Family Picnic” with a dinner being served from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. offering roasted chicken, hamburgers, baked beans, German potato salad, slaw, applesauce, pie and beverage. There will be a large outdoor food area offering not only the dinner menu but also brats, hot dogs, funnel cakes and homemade ice cream. Carryouts are available starting at 11:00 a.m. The STL Cardinals mascot will be visiting the festival around 1:00 p.m. Also, the Greyhounds will be visiting. A highlight of the afternoon will be the Quilt Auction, beginning at 3:00 p.m. A wide array of quilts and wall hangings will be offered in the auction. Come out for music, food and fun at the Concert in the Park on Friday, May 25th at 7:30 pm. The concert will be held at the City Park Pavilion in Marthasville and hosted by the Marthasville Area Chamber of Commerce. Sweet Low Down will be playing and food will be available from The American Legion Auxiliary. Blumenhof Winery will also have taste sampling. Scrapbookers are invited to scrapbook at Immanuels United Church of Christ in Holstein on the fourth Friday of every month at 6pm. There’s plenty of room to work.
